Dear Sir Paul McCartney:
I’ve been a fan of your music since childhood, when my mother played Beatles music throughout the house. I’ve always appreciated your upbeat attitude despite things in the world that can sometimes seem drear. We’re living in strange times where your message of love and kindness is a welcome refreshment from other voices that tend to be a drag.
But here we are, 20 years into the new millennium and a lot has changed while other things have remained the same. For one, God has been good. You’re approaching 8 decades of living on planet earth. While I celebrate the gift God has given you in music, I would be in serious remiss if I didn’t share with you the purpose and plan God has for in your remaining days on earth and into eternity.
It’s my prayer that you will search diligently these matters that I witness to you while the Lord Himself makes them known to you in due time. (Jeremiah 29:13) It’s my belief that Linda found what I’m sharing with you and that’s namely the Lord Jesus Christ. She came to the cross and God met her there. (John 12:32) And now her eternity is filled with unspeakable glory that is found in Jesus. (1 Peter 1:8)This joy and glory is free to anyone who desires to partake. But it was first paid for by the blood of Christ. And anyone who wishes to have eternal life must come by way of the cross. (Romans 5:6) Being a good person or any other means people have to come to God will not work. (Titus 3:5-7) Jesus said that He is the way, the truth,and the life. No man comes to the Father but through Me. (John 14:6) So my exhortation is the same as Linda’s would be to you today. Be that fool on the hill, Paul. Come to cavalry’s cross and be forgiven of your sin and find eternal life in the Son of God – Jesus the Christ.

Do what it takes to have the faith to come. And God, Linda, myself, and countless others will be waiting for you.
